When Druglord Pablo Escobar imported 4 hippos from Africa to his private zoo at Hacienda Napoles in Doradal, Colombia, little did he know that upon his death in the early 90’s, those hippos would be kept in the wild. Now those hippos have reproduced and they are dangerously coexisting with humans in the rivers of Colombia. As the most dangerous mammals on earth, Hippos, native to Africa, find themselves living in hippo paradise in Colombia. As they start to populate areas where humans work and live, hippos are becoming an increasingly dangerous problem in Colombia. Some experts have suggested that killing the hippos is the only solution. Will killing Pablo Escobar’s hippos be the answer?
